Learning to build authentic happiness through self-love and confidence is NOT an easy task to take on alone.
Are you searching for ways to deal with challenging situations in your life?
Maybe you’re a people pleaser, have an annoyingly loud inner critic, or you just cannot stop comparing yourself to others?
Has self-care began to slip from your daily to-do list…leading to stress and overwhelm?
Or…maybe life is happening around you (i.e. wedding planning, buying a house, saving money) and you just need advice from someone who has been there!
If any of these ring true to you, I am so glad you’re here!
On Life as Kait, I inspire women to realize that they have the ability to build happiness within their lives on their own terms.
You will receive actionable advice and learn the tools necessary to reflect on your life, respond to challenges around you, and let go in order to live a brighter life every day.
Instead of trying to “find yourself,” I encourage women to embrace who they are, but realize that you should always learn and apply new strategies to develop into a better version of yourself.
On this blog, I discuss self-care and personal development strategies, marriage and relationship tips, home and living advice, as well as a bit of travel and fitness. Although these are a wide variety of topics, all relate to the same message:
Life is malleable and you always have options to change aspects of who you are and where you are going. Living a life of intention will allow you to take control of the path your life is heading in and will help you build genuine happiness along the way.
You’re in the right place if you:
- Want to improve your life
- Wish to become a better version of yourself
- Are interested in personal development
- Want to practice self-care more often
- Are a people pleaser
- Overthink what you say and do often
- Experience stress and anxiety
- Need to learn strategies to surrender
- Want to stop comparing yourself to others
- Need motivation and inspiration
- Wish to build more confidence
- Need direction with life’s milestones
But, most importantly…
You are in the right place if YOU WANT TO CULTIVATE MORE HAPPINESS IN YOUR LIFE!

Hi, I am Kait!
My blog is titled Life as Kait because the posts that I share are genuine and authentic reflections on experiences I have actually gone through in my life.
Yes, no two people in this world are the same. I get that. But, many of us go through a lot of similar life experiences and struggles!
I started this blog to connect with and build a community of woman who can relate to all the feels I am having as I navigate life.
I wanted to start a blog like this for four years. What stopped me? I was afraid. I allowed fear and worry to get in the way of bettering myself and inspiring other woman to do the same.
2016 was a tough year filled with beautiful milestones. I married my best friend, was still a fairly new homeowner, had a wonderful rescue dog, and loved my full-time job as a high school teacher. But, I had a lot of internal struggles going on inside.
I wasn’t genuinely happy. I kept a brave face on for the world, but I kept feeling like I was missing something in my life.
At the end of 2016, I was introduced to self-help. I began to fill my free time with inspirational podcasts and personal development reads. That led me to exploring blogs and realizing that this was exactly what I was missing. I was instantly connecting with these woman who were speaking about cultivating an authentic life of intention and true happiness.
My goal is to add to the positive self-love and personal development world in order to help people gain the tools needed at an early stage of life. I aspire to take the stigma away that self-help is completely woo-woo and to teach others that asking for help and building connections is the key to having inner peace.
So… are you ready to dive in?
